Read Across America Day!

Today is Read Across America Day — and happy birthday to Dr. Seuss!

That’s an initiative by the NEA, the National Education Association, but there are so many other places to encourage reading, especially for adults. I had some fun sharing what I’m reading at Aleteia’s What Are You Reading pieces.

And now, I’ve picked up this book, again. One of these days I’m going to finish the entire series. Maybe. I mean, I’m retired and everything, I should be able to do it.

What’s on your bedside reading table?

  1. Finishing up “Quiet” a book about introverts in a world that can’t stop, talking. Rereading, and focusing on, “Little Sins Mean a Lot”, and the Blessed is She Lenten Journal. I hope I didn’t bite of more than I can chew. Now on the floor I have a heap of books!

    1. Oh! Let me know what you think of Quiet! I’m also rereading Little Sins Mean a Lot. Have you read Strange Gods, also by Scalia? It’s excellent.

  2. I’m reading “Troublesome Creek” by Jan Watson. It’s okay so far. I’m being impatient with the book because I just got my Valentines present to myself and want to read it lol. It’s “The Last Unicorn” by Peter S. Beagle. Plus, I got a copy of a certain Badass book at a Lenten Retreat today! Lots of good reads to look forward to!!
