Novena Day 6: Our Lady of Charity

Delighted to continue the novena to Our Lady of Charity with my friends Lisa Henley Jones and Shelly Henley Kelly from Of Sound Mind and Spirit. Here’s Day 6, and don’t worry if you’re off a day or two — it’s never too late to pray with the Blessed Mother.

Lisa and Shelly have put up some great links, including a link to our conversation about Our Lady of Charity earlier this summer. Check them out, and join us in this powerful prayer.

Novena Day 5: Our Lady of Charity

About a hundred years ago or maybe more like ten, I met the intrepid Sarah Reinhard. We share a love of the Lord and of course, the Blessed Mother. And a maybe a little steak of silliness and other things that make for entertaining conversation. But specially, this love of the Blessed Mother and our own motherhood even though we are in different seasons of our lives. She’s hosting the prayer for Day 5 of this lovely novena. Won’t you join us in prayer, and then get to know a little more about Sarah.

Novena Day 4: Our Lady of Charity

Today’s Day 4 prayer in the blogging novena is hosted by Lisa Hendey. I’m blessed to call her friend, spiritual sister, and dare-I-say, partner in crime. Well, perhaps partner-in-shenanigans: Lisa is a good girl after all. As I learned more about Our Lady of Charity as I was writing the book, I reflected on how essential these friendships are…and how essential it is for us to develop good and holy associations with our brothers and sisters in Christ. After all, if we call Mary our mother, that also makes us brothers and sisters in the Body of Christ. Amen!

Read Lisa’s lovely post here, and look around at the other amazing things she’s got going on!
