About a hundred years ago or maybe more like ten, I met the intrepid Sarah Reinhard. We share a love of the Lord and of course, the Blessed Mother. And a maybe a little steak of silliness and other things that make for entertaining conversation. But specially, this love of the Blessed Mother and our own motherhood even though we are in different seasons of our lives. She’s hosting the prayer for Day 5 of this lovely novena. Today’s Day 4 prayer in the blogging novena is hosted by Lisa Hendey. I’m blessed to call her friend, spiritual sister, and dare-I-say, partner in crime. Well, perhaps partner-in-shenanigans: Lisa is a good girl after all. As I learned more about Our Lady of Charity as I was writing the book, I reflected on how essential these friendships are…and how essential it is for us to develop good and holy associations with our brothers and sisters in Christ. After all, if we call Mary our mother, that also makes us brothers and sisters in the Body of Christ. Amen!
