WPC: Dance

dancing tulips

Even though we had a freeze warning last night and I had to dig up a sweater to go to work this morning, spring is definitely here. The pollen is out of control, and so are the flowers.

The daffodils are tall and bright, and to my delight, the tulips have bloomed. I love how they seek the sun — nothing says joy like a field of pretty flowers, ready to dance in the late afternoon breeze. Even Otis agrees.

Otis

signs of spring under my nose

and I’ve been too busy

too distracted

too pre-occupied

too too to notice

until now

when a friendly nuzzle

and a happy woof!

led me to smell the flowers

WPC: One Love

one love

I love the Weekly Photo Challenge at The Daily Post, especially when it resonates beautifully with a great theme, like one love.

Here’s my entry, found on a concourse in the Houston airport after an overnight flight delay left me stranded and alone. My only source of sanity was phone calls to my husband.
