Is it possible to get a cup of coffee-flavored coffee anymore in this country? What happened with coffee? Did I miss a meeting? They have every other flavor but coffee-flavored coffee. They have mochaccino, frappaccino, cappuccino, al pacino…Coffee doesn’t need a menu, it needs a cup.-Denis Leary
Coffee falls into the stomach … ideas begin to move, things remembered arrive at full gallop … the shafts of wit start up like sharp-shooters, similies arise, the paper is covered with ink …-Honoré de Balzac
Write a lot. And finish what you write. Don’t join writer’s clubs and go sit around having coffee reading pieces of your manuscript to people. Write it. Finish it. I set those rules up years ago, and nothing’s changed.-Jerry Pournelle
The powers of a man’s mind are directly proportioned to the quantity of coffee he drinks – Sir James Mackintosh

“the paper is covered in ink” — yowser! pour me another cup!
I like “finish what you write.”
I’ll be the one pulling the big ol’ log outta my eye 🙂
I was never a big coffee drinker until a few years ago when I started working at the local library. I got to look forward to that morning ritual–come in, pour myself a cup, add some cream and sugar, and get that nice warm lift that was just the right way to start my day. I did this nearly every morning for two years before I discovered the awful truth . . . It was decaf!
Nooooooo! Decaf?
Criminal.
I enjoyed them all, thank you for sharing. I am currently “coffee deprived”, as I’m suffering with a cold and tea is just going down better, but I miss my coffee. The pretty tan color, the sweet sweetness, the warmth as it fills me with comfort and sanity. And what better to have with your cinnamon bun? Tea with honey just doesn’t make the same statement.
Save me a cup,please.
poor dear. I just went with the same withdrawals 🙂
Another cup of coffee please. 🙂
Oh Boy, that firts cup of coffee in the morning,…. the aroma, the taste is soo good …..my father will tell you that “coffee was the nectar of the Gods”.
he was a wise man!

A true connoisseur just wants an un adulterated cup.
Amen!
