Hubs: Hey, what are those cute little animals in Star Wars?
Me: …Ewoks?
Hubs: No, you know, those cute little furry things you can pet.
Stunned silence…
Me: Tribbles? Are you talking about Tribbles?
Hubs: Yes!
More stunned silence…
Me: That’s from Star Trek.
Hubs: Whatever, you know what I mean.
GASP
Me: No. Not even, but what about Tribbles?
Hubs: I saw a video of the cutest animal that looks like those.
…
He was talking about this:
My dog jumped off the sofa and came over to sniff my ipad when he heard it chirping. Apparently they are cute and tasty.
Brilliant!
I see I am not the only one who married a non-nerd. 🙂
Next week we will address Firefly.
Stunned silence…from me. I’m with your husband. Star…..whatever. LOL!
Star…whatever? Them’s fightin’ words.
If these are the same desert frogs I have heard about… they can cause Dogs who lick them a horrible sickness. Many dogs die from licking them. I think a horrible taste occurs and then they can not eat or drink… As for Star Wars and Star Trek… I am a nerd…LOVE IT ALL!
You are now my hubby’s best friend. You said firefly.
Bahahaha!Browncoats everywhere!
And I don’t even know how to reply!
And they breed like tribbles too. 😉 Very cute and funny! Ha Ha! My hubby does that too – they call it incomplete sentences and for some odd reason they think we know what they mean – but so often I don’t … 🙂 LOL!
heresy!
LOL!
Yeah, I frequently have similar conversations with my sweet husband, lol. And the frogs? Never thought I’d say this about frogs: adorable! 😀 xoxoM
right? they are precious…and tiny.
Star Wars – Star Trek, I agree with hubs. We once had a dog named Ewok. He was cute but he was also tribble – I mean trouble.
ha. well-played.
Those are the conversations that test/confirm whether or not you belong together 🙂
absolutely
Too funny!! I’m ashamed to say that I do not know the difference between Star Wars and Star Trek either.
LOL. a travesty 🙂
That conversation right there is grounds for divorce in some circles.
Ha ha. He knows better. And knows what buttons to push.
