This week’s Weekly Photo Challenge, vibrant, reminded me of a recent Christmas present — a coloring book. Not just a coloring book, but a book filled with inspirational quotes, too. I get to relax and enjoy the mindless distraction of coloring, and then I get to ponder the quote in the picture.

What could be more vibrant that the knowledge that we are all miracles?
Indeed. Instantly loved this quotation. Then I thought about a refugee story I saw moments ago, and all the suffering of that individual. That, of course, reminded me of other sufferings. The Holocaust, rampant slavery in our time, and, much closer to home, horrifying personal stories of a dear friend.
So much of life requires a miracle to endure, prevail, overcome. Some do. Some suffer inexplicably and die without relief.
Then I read the quote again. It didn’t say that everything IS a miracle. It said to live as though everything is a miracle, and presumably, just and good, leaving me much upon which to meditate. Thank you.
