I have a soft spot for the Dominicans.
I met my husband through the St. Dominic Church youth group when I was in high school.
Two Dominican Saints, St. Catherine of Siena and St. Rose of Lima, are featured in my book.
Another Dominican Saint, whose feast day was last week, St. Martin de Porres, was a favorite of my grandfather Alejandro.
I’m devoted to the Rosary, which is associated with St. Dominic!

Dominican nuns were my grammar school teachers. I so loved their habits so it was very strange to move onto Sisters of Mercy at high school. Their habits were very, very different!
